How to setup an HP LaserJet 4050 on a linux client
This is assuming the printer has been shared either by Samba or Windows.
- Create a printer queue of type Networked Windows (SMB)
- Enter your Windows username and password
On the Printer driver tab, select the HP LaserJet 4050 and select hpijs from the Available drivers
Note: If you choose the default Postscript driver you will get pages of raw postscript when you try to print.
