How to set a custom ringtone on the iPhone
- Import the mp3 into iTunes
- Right-click and select Convert Selection to AAC
- Delete the (two) songs from iTunes but do not move to trash
- Find the AAC file and rename the extension to m4r
- Double-click the m4r to import it into iTunes as a ringtone.
