By default, when you update the kernel, Fedora changes the default kernel loaded by GRUB to be the updated one. This can cause problems if you dual boot with Windows and want Windows to be the default boot option.
You need to set UPDATEDEFAULT=no in /etc/sysconfig/kernel.
